Our representative will receive you outside TIA. Look for placards of your name. They will meet and greet will you and assist you in transferring to your hotel via a private vehicle. You can rest at the hotel or visit our office if time permits. Enjoy traditional Nepali dinner at the hotel in the evening.
After breakfast at the hotel, meet up with the rest of the group and hop on the jeep/bus for the drive to our trailhead at Syabrubesi. This 7-8 hour drive along the serpentine highway will take us through Devighat, Ramche and Dhunche and finally the Tamang village of Syabrubesi. You might even witness some good views of Ganesh Himal, Annapurna and Manaslu today if you’re lucky.
The trek finally starts today as we ascend up to the viewpoint for an hour or two and witness the beautiful panorama of Ganesh Himal, Langtang range and the Goljang valey. After some time there, steadily descend into the Goljung valley. Have your lunch at Goljang village and continue on to the Tamang village of Gatlang.
Sleep in all morning if you like as we only have a short distance to cover today. To start the trek, descend down to Thangbuchet and pass through Chilime Hydropower Dam before beginning your ascent to Tatopani. As the journey won’t take much more than 3 hours, you’ll have the whole day to enjoy the natural hot springs.
From Nagthali, descend down to Thuman while enjoying pleasing views of Ganesh Himal. Explore the monastery at Thuman in your free tme. Timure lies a short descent further. The border with Tibet at Rasuwaghadi lies around a couple hours away from here. However, trekking there without a permit is illegal.
After lunch at Lingling, we resume our journey towards the Tamang village of Briddim. You can explore the Dukchu Gomba monastery in the evening.
From Briddim, we have a short and easy descent past the cultivated fields and pleasant forests. The trail will converge with the Langtang Valley trail at Khangjum (2290m). Continue trekking for an hour or two via Wangel to eventually reach Syabrubesi.
With the trek finally over, we will have a 7 – 8 hour drive back to the capital today. The journey will offer typical countryside scenery of lush hills, quaint villages, serpentine roads and roaring rivers as usual. In the evening, you can explore the streets of Thamel and shop for souvenirs. Finally, enjoy traditional Nepali cuisine as farewell dinner at a restaurant.
Enjoy the last morning in Kathmandu with breakfast at the hotel. Spend your free time in leisure and check out of your hotel a few hours before your flight. Then, one of our staff will escort you to TIA and bid you farewell. In case you don’t have a flight scheduled, you are free to continue with your holiday / other treks as you desire.
