Tamang  Heritage Trek is such a cultural and mountain range views wonderful region. Langtang regions with beautiful panoramic views of Ganesh which lies in the northern part of Kathmandu close with  Langtang National Park. This trekking is the perfect way of enjoying your life with awesome memories.

The lush mid hill villages of Nepal and the culture of the people who live here are showed in Tamang Heritage Trek with towering peaks, generous forests, hanging bridges and random snow leopard sightings in the epic background. This is a great introduction to the beautiful Langtang Region and the unique culture of the Tamang community.

Discover a gripping Tibetan history and the control of Tibetan culture in this region. The trading routes of Tibet-Nepal from where two countries import and export goods. People living in this region are mostly Buddhist and grow some hardy grains and vegetables. Their daily activities are agriculture including raising livestock and trade. In this region people wear attractive colorful costumes and their houses are decorated with fabulous woodcarvings.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival TIA and pick up by private transfer at hotel with B/B plan

Our representative will receive you outside TIA. Look for placards of your name. They will meet and greet will you and assist you in transferring to your hotel via a private vehicle. You can rest at the hotel or visit our office if time permits. Enjoy traditional Nepali dinner at the hotel in the evening.

Day 2 : Drive from Kathmandu to Syaphrubesi (1460m) by jeep 7hrs over night at lodge.

After breakfast at the hotel, meet up with the rest of the group and hop on the jeep/bus for the drive to our trailhead at Syabrubesi. This 7-8 hour drive along the serpentine highway will take us through Devighat, Ramche and Dhunche and finally the Tamang village of Syabrubesi. You might even witness some good views of Ganesh Himal, Annapurna and Manaslu today if you’re lucky.

Day 3 : Trek tfrom Syaphrubesi to Gatlang Village (2238m) 6hrs overnight at lodge.

The trek finally starts today as we ascend up to the viewpoint for an hour or two and witness the beautiful panorama of Ganesh Himal, Langtang range and the Goljang valey. After some time there, steadily descend into the Goljung valley. Have your lunch at Goljang village and continue on to the Tamang village of Gatlang.

Day 4 : Trek from Gatlang Village to Tatopani (2607m) 6hrs. overnight at lodge.

Sleep in all morning if you like as we only have a short distance to cover today. To start the trek, descend down to Thangbuchet and pass through Chilime Hydropower Dam before beginning your ascent to Tatopani. As the journey won’t take much more than 3 hours, you’ll have the whole day to enjoy the natural hot springs.

Day 5 : Trek from Tatopani to Nakthali (3165m) 5hrs.overnight at lodge.

  1. The trail today first climbs up to Nagthali, a village famed as a meditation center for local priets and Buddhist monks. On our way, we will pass through lush forests brimming with Langur monkeys and deer.

Day 6 : Trek from Nakthali to Timure (1762m) 6hrs. overnight at lodge.

From Nagthali, descend down to Thuman while enjoying pleasing views of Ganesh Himal. Explore the monastery at Thuman in your free tme. Timure lies a short descent further. The border with Tibet at Rasuwaghadi lies around a couple hours away from here. However, trekking there without a permit is illegal.

Day 7 : Trek from Timure to Briddhim (2229m) 6hr overnight at lodge.

After lunch at Lingling, we resume our journey towards the Tamang village of Briddim. You can explore the Dukchu Gomba monastery in the evening.

Day 8 : Trek from Briddhim to Syaphrubesi (1460m) 5hr overnight at lodge.

From Briddim, we have a short and easy descent past the cultivated fields and pleasant forests. The trail will converge with the Langtang Valley trail at Khangjum (2290m). Continue trekking for an hour or two via Wangel to eventually reach Syabrubesi.

Day 9 : Drive from Syaphru Besi to Kathmandu by Jeep 7hrs. overnight at hotel with B/B plan

With the trek finally over, we will have a 7 – 8 hour drive back to the capital today. The journey will offer typical countryside scenery of lush hills, quaint villages, serpentine roads and roaring rivers as usual. In the evening, you can explore the streets of Thamel and shop for souvenirs. Finally, enjoy traditional Nepali cuisine as farewell dinner at a restaurant.

Day 10 : Departure your own destination drove from hotel to TIA by private transfer

Enjoy the last morning in Kathmandu with breakfast at the hotel. Spend your free time in leisure and check out of your hotel a few hours before your flight. Then, one of our staff will escort you to TIA and bid you farewell. In case you don’t have a flight scheduled, you are free to continue with your holiday / other treks as you desire.
